EMI Two Crouching.jpg

The Expressive Movement Initiative (EMI) brings the art of creative movement to children with developmental disabilities in Los Angeles. Volunteers from UCLA work one-on-one with each student, catering to their specific needs in weekly dance classes. Dancers are given the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, and physically - improving upon predetermined goals (set by you and our volunteers!) each week.

Where: UCLA Semel Institute Auditorium, 720 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles

How much: There is no required fee, but we do ask for a suggested donation of $30 ($3 per class) each season to help us offset some of our costs (e.g. class materials, props/costumes for recitals, etc.)
